Oran's Story
Oran Boyd sadly passed away on November 14th at St James Hospital, Dublin after a long battle with a severe blood cancer, aged 18. He will live on as #foreveryoungoran18 by his family & friends.
During his treatment we were able to stay at Amy's House, close to The Belfast City Hospital where Oran began his treatment. It was so welcoming and helped us through a horrendous time. The staff made us feel like we were at home, we were able to have our own room with en-suite, Oran's brothers were able to come and stay too which meant so much to us all. We also met other families that helped support us who have become great friends. It is such an amazing life-line.
We want to continue to support Young Lives vs Cancer as it is such a supportive charity, one we were unaware of until we needed it. #foreveryoung18 will live on in our hearts. In 2020 we wanted to celebrate Oran's heavenly 19th birthday so we designed Oran's 18 tops, the profits go to Young Lives vs Cancer, it is so great as family and friends that have bought them send photos of them wearing it all around the world. In 2021 we decided to start Oran's Memorial Cup, this event is to mark his heavenly birthday.
We want to thank everyone for continuing to keep Oran's memory alive and to support the charity that helped us in so many ways.
Forever thankful The Boyd Family XO
