Our Story
My son, Marcus was studying at Chichester University when he was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. We had to rush to London for treatment in March 2017 from home in Guernsey and I returned home in May 2017.
We were given a place to stay in Paul's House, the charity's "Home from Home" which was amazing. Jenny, our CLIC Sargent (as it was known at the time) Social Worker, was incredible in supporting Marcus. She arranged special events for Marcus and he went to a Comic Con event at the ExCel Centre in London which gave him such a boost during such a difficult time, also a cinema event with his friends in Guernsey.
Marcus needed someone outside his family circle who understood the immensity of what he was going through - someone he could talk to and who listened and Jenny provided this. We are eternally grateful to the support that Jenny gave Marcus and us as a family.
We really appreciate everyone's generous donations in Marcus' name to support young cancer patients.
