Gareth in his Ospreys Rugby jersey

Gazza Jenkins Fund

We were always very proud of Gareth during his illness and in his words, he would just say, "I am not ill, I just have Cancer" and "I want to Live my Dreams” and he did this until the day he died.

Gazza Jenkins Fund

We started our fund in memory of our son Gareth (Gazza) who sadly passed away on the 25th November 2018 at the young age of 18.

Gareth was well known in the sporting field and represented both Ospreys and Wales under 18’s, playing his last game for Wales against Italy in March 2018.   What was unknown to us during that game was that Gareth had a rare form of Cancer, Ewings Sarcoma, which was diagnosed a month later in the April.

Gareth was the life and soul of the party, a gentle giant and our number 1, which was his favourite position in the front row. During one of his hospital stays Gareth was presented with his Welsh cap, he was a true inspiration to his family and friends.

We were always very proud of Gareth during his illness and in his words, he would just say, “I am not ill, I just have Cancer" and "I want to Live my Dreams” and he did this until the day he died.

Gareth would be very proud of the money we have raised to help this wonderful Charity who supported us as a family through the fun times, the difficult times and the sad times.
